I know this post is going to be a little divisive, but I think some things need to be said on this subject as there has been some discussion and chatter about it here. I have to stress though that I am not speaking from the point of view of the site. They can make their own decisions and come to their own conclusions, this post is about my own opinion, and perhaps looking at things a little differently.

I think it goes without saying that Luka Magnotta is a sick and twisted psychopath. But then people would have known that if they knew about his past and his torture of animals. Plenty of people who heard about that story years ago predicted that he was a potential psychopath. He did that for attention and enjoyment, and when you have a Human incapable of feeling empathy for other life, combined with an obsession for fame, you have a killer capable of doing almost anything for attention.

As for his videos... I think people need to treat this as they would any other media. He is not making money from those videos, you're not supporting him by watching them. In addition, videos are removed on request, for the right reasons.

If a musician killed someone, would we really expect the music the band created prior to that be removed or censored? You have the choice to listen to it or not. No one is forcing you.

I think it's correct for people to make moral and ethical decisions to suit them. If the site chooses to remove all depictions of him, then that is their choice. If the studios who hired him continue to provide his content, that is their choice. If people choose to view his media, that is their choice.

My opinion? If I were a studio I would remove it, because I wouldn't want my company associated with a psychopath and I wouldn't want to give others the ammunition against me. Through my personal choice as a viewer, I would not want to watch it, because it would make me uncomfortable. I find guys attractive in porn, but I cannot see anything attractive in him, knowing what he did. As for BoyzTube, it's their choice to allow it or not. Personally, as his insane thirst for fame led him to do what he did, I would not want to acknowledge his notoriety. But like I said, these are my personal views on it.

Ultimately it's down to personal choice. I see little sense in arguing about it. I might not be able to understand how anyone would be able to enjoy his appearances knowing what he became, but I don't think his actions are grounds for censorship either.
