Metro Station is a powerpop band that formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2006. They signed to Columbia/Red Ink Records and are perhaps best known for their single “Shake It” off their self-titled debut album. Popularized mainly by their co-frontman Trace Cyrus, this music act has experienced a recent boom in their record sales. In 2007 Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso were introduced by their mothers on the set of Hannah Montana, in which Mason’s brother Mitchel and Trace’s half sister Miley star together.

Originally a minimal post-punk synthesiser-based group from Sheffield, UK, they became one of the most successful new wave acts of the 80s. Las Vegas, United States (2002 – present) The Killers are a rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2002 and made up of Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion). Their first two albums to date have sold in excess of 12 million copies worldwide combined. They got their name from the fictional band “The Killers” in the video for New Order’s “Crystal.”
