Kevinjack @ 04:36 am CST:: When you're out camping, watch out for bears. They're prowling around now, hunting for twinks, cubs, and anything else that moves.
RockDickson @ 04:32 am CST::
osavaltevy @ 04:13 am CST:: Coming soon: "Today in World History". I mean, this site is just perfect for this kind of thing, isn't it?
RockDickson @ 03:27 am CST:: Yes, excatly like this: RockDickson @ 03:26 am CST:: Setting up a camping tent is easy when you follow a clear step-by-step process. Before you leave home, practice setting up the tent once to make sure all parts are present. 1. Choose and Clear the Campsite • Pick a flat, dry area away from rocks, roots, water run-off paths, and fire pits. • Clear the ground of sharp sticks or debris that could puncture the floor. • Orient the tent door away from the wind for better warmth and ventilation. 2. Lay Down a Footprint or Tarp • Spread out a ground cloth or footprint where you want the tent. • Make sure the footprint is slightly smaller than the tent floor so rainwater does not pool underneath it. • Match any color-coded straps or corners to line up the door. 3. Lay Out and Assemble the Poles • Unfold the shock-corded poles and let them click or slide into place completely. Never let them snap together under strong bungee force. • Match any color-coded pole sections to their matching corners on the tent body. 4. Raise the Tent Body • Lay the main tent fabric flat on top of the footprint with the door facing your chosen direction. • Insert the ends of the poles into the metal grommets or pin-and-ring systems at the base corners of the tent. • Lift the tent structure and attach the clips, hooks, or pole sleeves from the tent body to the poles. 5. Stake Down the Corners • Pull the tent floor tight and stake out the four base corners. • Push stakes into the ground at a 45-degree angle pointing away from the tent using your foot or a mallet rather than a rock. 6. Attach the Rainfly • Drape the rainfly over the top of the tent, aligning the fly's door with the main tent door. • Connect the interior Velcro tabs to the poles and secure the corners of the fly to the base or stakes. • Pull the guy lines taut and stake them out at angles to add stability against wind.
